MY DANCING JOURNEY

 I have loved dancing since I was a child, and my parents, recognising my talent, sent me to a dance teacher. That's where my dance journey began.

I started my dance journey under the guidance of Professor Buddhi Kalyani, a senior lecturer at the National Institute of Education. Under her guidance, I successfully continued my dance journey.

Then, under the guidance of Mrs. Renuka Fernando, the dance teacher at my first school, Kottawa North Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, and Sir Nupathi Nilambara and Teacher Vinudi Hesanga, I gathered all my artistic talents and performed the UDARATA HISAWES MANGALLE at the Ganelanda Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, Thalawathugoda on 27th April 2018.

In this successful progression of my dance journey, I passed the O/L examination and enrolled in my second school, Ananda Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Kotte. There, I pursued further education under my dance teacher, Uthpala Gunasekara, and sir, Jagath Gunawardena, and passed my A/L examination and entered the University of visual and performing Arts, Colombo.

My parents are very proud of my success today. Many thanks to all the teachers who guided me to success. 🙏💖
